Description
Beat Procrastination is a one-page illustrated poster with 10 numbered, easy-to-follow steps. Print it, pin it up and work through it one step at a time.
The 10 steps on this poster
- Name the Feeling – Bored, scared or overwhelmed? Naming it takes away some of its power.
- Shrink the Task – Make the first step ridiculously small. Open the document.
- Two-Minute Start – Promise yourself just two minutes. Starting is the hardest part.
- Set a Deadline – Give it a real date, even a self-made one, and tell someone.
- Block the Escape – Block the sites and apps you run to when work gets hard.
- Eat the Frog – Do the task you dread most first thing in the day.
- Work in Sprints – Twenty minutes on, five minutes off. Repeat.
- Reward Finishing – Treat yourself after the work, not before.
- Be Kind to You – Self-criticism drains energy. Talk to yourself like a friend.
- Get a Buddy – Work alongside someone or report your progress to them.
